This week Bro. Leo continues us on a study of the “end times” and Satan’s ultimate goal of being worshipped.

Last week we learned that Jesus tells us in John 4:21-24 that God desires true worship from His children (Psa.29:1-2). The supreme duty of every Christian is to worship God in spirit and in truth. Since his fall, Satan has made it his goal to exalt himself above God (Eze. 28:13-19). This means that Satan also desires to have everyone worship him. During the seven years of tribulation Satan will require everyone to worship him or die (Rev.13:4-5, 8, 11, 13-17). Satan even desired that Jesus worship him (Matt.4:8-11).

This week Bro. Leo leads us in a study of the Biblical definition of worship. In Exo.20:5 (1st of the 10 commandments) the phrase “bow down” is translated from the Hebrew word “shâchâh” which means to bow down oneself in an act of humility, giving honor, submission, obedience, adoration and awe, acknowledging ones superiority over you, worship. “shâchâh” is translated as “worship” in Psa.29:2. Exo.20:2 we find the reason for worshipping God, because of what He has done for us.

In Matt.4:8-10 Satan reveals his desire to be worshipped. Romans 1:18-25 tells us how Satan will transition people from worshipping God to worshipping himself. Bro. Leo goes into the loss of medical freedom we’ve experienced in the last year or so and some other details in this study that I won’t put on this blog for obvious reason, so please listen to this audio file for those details and the entire study.

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a study of the Jesus you never knew by looking at Matt.24:5-8 and how we should be reacting to the current events that are leading to a One World Government.

Bro. Leo highlights the Endtimes prophecies in Dan. 12, Dan 11, Rev.13 and Zech.14 to give us an idea of what will come during the seven years of tribulation, after the Church is raptured, including a Global Government, Global Religion and Global Economy (Rev.13). All of which are having their foundations established now in our current societies. Bro. Leo takes us to Gen.11 to show us the very first Global Government and what God did to destroy it, which Satan is working hard to undo at this time.

Paul tells us what we are to do in times like these in 2Tim.3 and 2Tim.2.

I purposely did not go into detail with this synopsis for the simple reason that every Christian needs to understand the times we are living in and God’s will for us in these times and I can not cover all the details in this blog that Bro. This week Bro. Leo shares with us the message he shared at his Dad’s funeral about how God reacts to the physical death of His children.

In Psa.116:15 the word “Precious” is translated from the Hebrew word “yâqâr” which means to be valued by, to be important to, to be prescious to.

Jesus desires to have us with Him in Heaven (John 17:24). Jesus, the second person of the Godhead) walked with Adam and Eve daily in the Garden of Eden until they sinned.

Physical death is the only way God can accomplish these things, 1) totally heal us of all infirmities, 2) change us so that we never sin again (Psa.103:1-5). Our best day on Earth doesn’t compare to what God has instore for us in Heaven.

In Psa.23:4 the phrase “the valley of the shadow of death” signifies that the child of God feels no impact of death and it’s consequences. All our needs are met in life by Jesus including our needs at the point of death (Phil.4:19, Psa.48:14). At the point of death God fills us with assurance, comfort, peace and strength according to Psa.23:4 (thy rod and thy staff they comfort me).

Being united with God in Heaven is why our physical death is so prescious to God.

This week David (Coach) Sisk is filling in for Bro. Leo who is out of town for his Dad’s funeral.

David starts out describing legalism in the Church he grew up in, which caused him to feel as if he could never measure up and was always going to fail so he just avoided Church and God altogether until 2019 when the Holy Spirit convicted him and he became saved. It was at this point when he started to learn about God’s grace and what that meant.

Through this study David explains how Satan is constantly telling us that we aren’t good enough by accusing us of our wrong doings, but Jesus is always there to restore us (Zech.3:1-4, Rom.8:33-34).
