12-27-2015 “A DIRECT and SPECIFIC MESSAGE TO MANKIND FROM GOD” Luke 2:10 Gal. 1:12
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by looking at the ministry of the Holy Spirit to each individual.
The Holy Spirit delivers God’s specific message, concerning every aspect of our life, directly to us. Every born again Christian has been equipped with the capability to receive direct messages from God (Joh 14:26, Joh 15:26, Joh 16:7, Gal 4:6).
The Holy Spirit has the ability to teach us what Religion, Church, Priest/Pastors/Preachers/Mankind can not, which is God’s will for us in any and every situation of our life including our relationship with Him (Gal. 1:11-12, 15-16).
Only God knows His plan for you and only His Holy Spirit can reveal those plans to you (John 16:13). Therefore we are not only capable of knowing God’s will for us, but also responsible for knowing His will for us.

12-20-2015 “HERE I AM – COME TO ME!” Luke 2:8-16
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by looking at the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
One of the themes/principals taught throughout the Holy Bible is God’s desire to commune with us in a personal one on one relationship and it is always God who initiates the relationship. God pursues us and attempts to get our attention so that He can tell us what we need to here from Him.
In the event of the birth of Jesus, God used the angel and heavenly hosts to get the attention of the shepherds (Luke 2:9,13). God, used a star to get the attention of the wise men (Matt. 2:2). Both the shepherds and the wise men responded by going to the Lord.
In the Church age that we live in now, God uses His Holy Spirit to get our attention and if we respond by seeking Him we will hear what we need to here from Him and we will know Him (relationship Matt. 11:29). But, if we do not respond by seeking Him we will not know Him and will not have a relationship with Him (John 1:10).
(Matt. 11:29) The word translated “learn” comes from the Greek word manthanō and it means to acquire intimate knowledge of someone through a relationship.
(John 1:10) The word translated “knew” comes from the Greek word ginōskō and means to “know” absolutely.
A personal relationship with Jesus is the only way to receive the free gift of salvation and afterwards the only way to receive the day to day guidance of God that will leave us content (John 7:37-39).

12-13-2015 “MY SPIRIT REJOICES IN GOD MY SAVIOUR!” Luke 1:47
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by looking at the source of Biblical Joy. To understand what the Scriptures are talking about when they say “Joy” we must first understand the difference between Joy and Happiness.
Joy is a deep inner gladness of heart and it’s only source is God’s Holy Spirit.
Happiness, on the other hand, is an emotional reaction to circumstances, therefore the source of happiness is circumstances.
Rejoicing is an outward expression of a deep inner gladness of heart.
What I’m about to share with you is a personal experience of “Joy in the Lord” that I had yesterday. I believe it will help us all better understand what the Scriptures are talking about when they say “joy”.
Yesterday morning I found my wife on the toilet slouched against the bathroom wall. Her eyes were open, but she was not responsive to anything I said to her. The circumstances brought fear to me, but while I was praying with her God’s Holy Spirit gave me these words “Lord Jesus we trust You with our complete being and we know You are in complete control and what ever happens next will be for our best”. Although I did not know how things would turn out I had “joy” in my heart because I knew they would turn out for our best.
The EMS took my wife to the hospital where the doctors could not figure out what the cause was for this episode. What ever it was Jesus took care of it for us, because within an hour or so my wife was back to normal. I praise Jesus for the “joy” He filled my heart with and I’m happy she is ok now. My spirit truly “rejoices in the Lord”.
We know the source of “Joy” is the Holy Spirit, because the Scriptures tell us in gal. 5:22. The Holy Spirit brings “Joy” to us in two ways, 1) through the revelation of God (The Bible) and 2) through the presence of God (Matt. 2:9-11).
God desires us to enjoy our relationship with Him. For this to ever happen we must seek the power of His Holy Spirit in us. We can be saved and not have the power of His Holy Spirit (remain worldly by relying on our own power, strength and knowledge) or we can be saved and seek the power, strength and wisdom of God’s Holy Spirit and experience “Joy” in the Lord.

12-6-2015 “MARY’S NEED IS OUR NEED!” Luke 1:34-35
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by looking at the example of Mary when she was told God’s course for her by the Angel.
Mary realized that God’s course for her was impossible for her to walk in her own power, strength and knowledge (Luke 1:34). The course that God had planned for Mary could only be accomplished in the power, strength and knowledge of His Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35). God has a course planned out for every born again Christian (2Tim. 4:6-7, Psa. 37:23) and likewise can only be accomplished through the power, strength and knowledge of His Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:4).
To accomplish God’s course for her, Mary had to present herself submissive to God (Luke 1:38). In order for us to accomplish God’s course for us, we too have to present ourselves submissive to God (Rom. 6:13). Only then will we know and have the ability to walk the course God has planned for us (Eph. 5:18, 17).
Just as born again Christians need the power, strength and knowledge of God’s Holy Spirit to accomplish God’s course for them, the un-believer/lost person also needs the power, strength and knowledge of God’s Holy Spirit to save them (Luke 18:25-27).
Could the reason why this country is in the shape it’s in be because most of us born again Christians are making our own course under our own power, strength and knowledge and asking God to bless them rather that seeking God’s course for us and submitting to it?

11-29-2015 “MARY and the HOLY SPIRIT!” Luke 1:34-38
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by looking at the example of Mary and how it illustrates how we are to relate to God and His Holy Spirit in specific situations in our lives. Mary understood that she , in her own power, could not conceive a child so the Angel explained to her that the power of God’s Holy Spirit would do it. Nothing has changed since then, man can not do the will of God under in our own power we need the power of His Holy Spirit to accomplish the work. In every situation in our life we need to turn to God and seek, wait for and expect to be empowered, strengthened and energized by His Holy Spirit. This can not be accomplished by generalizing, we must be specific with God in every situation we find ourselves in, notice how specific the example of Mary is in Luke 1:34-38.
A quote from Bro. Leo: “Everything done in the NT for Christ, in Christ and by Christ’ people was carried out in the power, strength, energy and wisdom of His Holy Spirit”. Some examples are Luke 1:36, Rom. 4:19-21, Acts 2:4,14, Acts 4:8.
The example of Mary not only tells us we need the power of God’s Holy Spirit, but also explains how we go about getting this power. In Luke 1:38 Mary presented her body to God for the specific work described to her by the Angel. In this example we see Mary realizing she is powerless to accomplish the work, the Angel telling her God’s Holy Spirit would do it for her and Mary agreeing(presenting herself) to allow God to use her body no matter the cost to her. In order for us to do the will of God in any specific situation we must follow the same steps illustrated in the example of Mary.
If we do not follow the steps illustrated in the example of Mary it is impossible to do God’s will in that specific situation and it should be considered sin (Rom. 6:13). We will never operate, flourish,live in the power of God if we are not willing to give it to God.

In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by exploring these and other crucial and timely spiritual truths:
- Only the power and work of God’s Holy Spirit can destroy and remove the desires and works of the flesh in my life.
- How can I activate this great power of God in specific areas of failure in my life?
- How does my own way of thinking restrain the work of God’s Spirit in certain areas of my life?
11-8-2015 “THE BREATH OF THE ALMIGHTY!” Job 33:4
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by digging deeper into what the scriptures describe is our spirit, soul and body and how it is that Paul could say “I do not sin” (Rom. 7:17).
Our spirit is prioritized by the scriptures as the number one aspect of our being (1Thess. 5:23). Our spirit is the aspect of our being that God communicates with and joins together with (1Cor. 6:17). God begins a work in our spirit and will continues that work in our spirit as long as we are operating in the spirit and not the flesh (Rom. 7:22, Phil. 1:6).
Listen to this message to learn why Paul said he does not sin. This message will also give you a deeper Biblical understanding of your individual personal relationship with God, the reality of who you are in Christ.

10-25-2015 “HOLY SPIRIT : AGENT OF CHANGE!” 2Cor. 3:17-18
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by studying how and why we are spiritually changed.
In 2Cor. 3:17-18 Paul tells us that Gods’ Holy Spirit is responsible for spiritually changing us. The Greek word translated as “Changed” is “metamorphoō” and it means to change position. So, what Paul is telling us is it is Gods’ Holy Spirits’ job to change our reflection in the glass/mirror from ours to Gods’. His Holy Spirit accomplishes this by revealing to us our carnality in comparison to Gods’ righteousness. This comparison causes the inward change that is required in us to become more and more like God desires us to be (2Cor. 3:2-3, Eph. 4:23-32).
John 10:10 explains one of the reasons God wants to change us. The Greek work translated to “life” in verse 10 is not “bios”/physical life, but it is “zoe” which means 1)inward principle of life in spirit and soul (emotions and intellect). 2) All the highest and best that Christ Jesus has to offer to the believer. 3) Highest level of blessedness. Here Jesus is telling us that His Holy Spirit changes us not only for our salvation, but also for the best and most abundantly blessed life while we are here.
Only Gods’ Holy Spirit has the power to accomplish these changes in us, but God will not force these changes on us or automatically change us when He saves us. We have to get alone with Him (prayer closet) and look into the glass/mirror (2Cor. 3:18) and with an honest heart ask God to reveal to us the changes that need to be made in us (Psa. 139:23-24).
Scriptures used in today’s message:
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2Co 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
Psa 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Col 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Col 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Col 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Col 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Php 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
Php 1:4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
Php 1:5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Php 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
10-18-2015 “HOW WE ARE CHANGED INTO GODS’ IMAGE!” 2Cor. 3:17-18
In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of God’s Holy Spirit by studying what the scriptures tell us of how God changes our image into the image of God.
Most theologians agree that our sanctification process starts the moment Gods’ Holy Spirit indwells us (Titus 3:4-7). Most all Christians are taught that Gods’ Holy Spirit will guide, direct and influence them, but that’s where the teaching/learning usually stops. Few Christians are ever taught or learn exactly how Gods’ Holy Spirit guides, directs and influences them.
Rom. 8:5-8 tells us that we have two mindsets available to us, we can be carnally minded or spiritually minded. Gal. 5:16 tells us to be spiritually minded so we can avoid things of the flesh. Eph. 4:20-27 tells us our carnal minds can be renewed to a spiritual mind and a spiritual mind leaves no place for the devil. Col. 3:9-10 tells us that a spiritual mind is the image of God.
So, the question is “how do Christians obtain a spiritual mind?” The answer is found in 2Cor. 3:17-18 and Rev. 3:19-20. We must get alone with Jesus, ask Him to reveal our carnality to us (look into the glass/mirror), listen for His answer. Then we need to ask Him for the power of His spirit to change us so that when we look into the glass/mirror we see more and more of His image and less of our own. The key to this is spending time communicating (talking and listening) honestly with Jesus through His Holy Spirit, only then will our minds be renewed to be spiritually minded.
Scriptures used in today’s message:
Tit 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
