This week Bro. Leo continues our last week study of four points the Resurrection of Jesus mean to Christians. 1) the Resurrection is the central truth and foundation of the Christian faith. 2) The Resurrection proves that Jesus was/is the Son of God. 3) The Resurrection confirms that the blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross has been accepted by God the Father as payment for all sins. 4) The Resurrection is the basis of all hope and the assurance of our eternal salvation. Last week we learned in Gal,6:14 the word “glory” is translated from the Greek word “kauchaomai” which means to exalt, elevate, glorify, someone/thing in terms of value, worth and importance. Paul is telling us that the work of Christ on the cross is of such high importance because our salvation is directly dependent upon Christ’s work on the cross, alone. Nothing we can do could ever save us (Gal.6:12-13).

In Gal.6:12-13, 15 Paul is calling out the religious leaders who are adding works of the flesh (circumcision) to Cross. “They” insist salvation is dependent upon on the Cross and works. Several religions today do the exact same by claiming salvation by the cross and water baptism, Church membership/attendance, confession after sinning (losing salvation), etc. Paul clearly tells us that salvation comes by way of the Cross only in Gal.5:1-5, Gal.2:19-21, Gal.6:14, Rom.6:8-11 as well as the Hebrew writer in Heb.10:7-18.

In Gal,6:14 the word “glory” is translated from the Greek word “kauchaomai” which means to exalt, elevate, glorify, someone/thing in terms of value, worth and importance. Paul is telling us that the work of Christ on the cross is of such high importance because our salvation is directly dependent upon Christ’s work on the cross, alone. Nothing we can do could ever save us (Gal.6:12-13).
