This week Bro. Leo continues us on a Biblical study that’s goal is to look at the life of Jesus through a lens of those who were there.  This is the ninth study of the series, the first three studies set the foundation of the series.

Last week we took a deeper look into Leprosy and the Purity Laws.  We learned Jesus didn’t need to do the first three steps of the Purity Law because Jesus is God in the flesh and no impurities can enter Him and He wrote the law, healed the Leper and declared him clean. When God declares us clean we are clean, God doesn’t need any man to say anything. Jesus didn’t break the law He’s telling us the law is fulfilled. The immediate touch of Divinity to Humanity.

This week we study how Jesus further teaches the transition the Jewish folks from the Law to Grace (John 1:17).

Jesus continues to reveal Himself to the Jewish people (John 8:58) and the Jewish leaders wanted to stone Him for not only saying He was Yahweh but also for speaking the name Yahweh (John 8:59), because the Jewish people were not allowed to speak the name Yahweh.

In Col.1:19 and Col.2:9 when Paul says “fullness” he is saying all the Divinity of God.  In John 1:16,14,17 he is saying that Jesus is full of the Divinity of God.  Jesus came to earth to declare God to humanity.  Humanity’s part is to receive the Divinity of God (John 1:16,12,11).

In Matt.15:24 Jesus says He came to Earth for the Israelite’s.  It’s important to know that in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John books all happened under the Old Covenant under the Mosaic Law.  The New Covenant did not start until the day of Pentecost.

When we get saved the Divinity of God enters into us just as it did to the Leper and the woman with the issue of blood.  In John 20:21-22 we see the outflow of Divinity to humanity, but this was special anointing just so they could understand His teaching during the 40 days.  In Luke 24:44-45,49 shows that they were anointed with this understanding and then told to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Holy Spirit (“dunamis” from last weeks study).

In Gal.4:4-6 tells us that if we do not have the Divinity of God indwelling us we are not children of God (Rom.8:9a,10a,11a).  Jesus came to give His life for us on the cross and He came to give His life to us through the indwelling of His Holy Spirit (John 14:16-20, Gal.2:20).

We have the ability to know if God’s Holy Spirit dwells in us (2Cor.13:5) and it’s critical that we know whether or not we have received God’s Holy Spirit.

Jesus’ three and half year ministry was a transition from the law to grace.

2-23-2020 “JESUS AND THE LEPER!” part3 Matthew 8:1-4

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a Biblical study that’s goal is to look at the life of Jesus through a lens of those who were there. Today’s study gives some in-depth Biblical Jewish history that is critical to the understanding of what Jesus was teaching during His 3 year ministry here on earth. This is the eighth study of the series, the first three studies set the foundation of the series.

Last week we learned what Jesus was trying to tell the Jewish people by touching the Leper, touching the dead girl, touched by the woman with a blood issue (Mark 1:40-44, Mark 5:21-30, 35-36, 41-42). Jesus was proving to them that He is God in the flesh. Jesus was showing these people that He was not defiled by touching or being touched by the unclean because God can not be defiled (Rev. 21:1-4, 21-27).

This week we take a deeper look into Leprosy and the Levitical Law of Purity Laws.  The Mosaic Law was given around 1445BC, the ministry of Elisha was around 850BC, keep this timeline in mind throughout this study.

In 2Kings 5:1-7, 10-16 we see Naaman, a man from Syria who was a Leper, get healed from his leprosy.  1) :3, Israelite’s believed a true prophet of God could heal leprosy.  2) Israelite’s believed only God could heal leprosy.  3) : Israelite’s believed sin caused leprosy

There weren’t any Israelite’s, in the days of the Prophets, healed of leprosy (Luke 4:24-27). So why did the Syrian woman believe a Prophet of God could heal leprosy? ( 2Kings 5:1-3, Exo.4:1-7)

The significance of healing leprosy being a sign of God is found in Exo.4:1-7, a Prophet of God can heal leprosy (1445BC).

There’s only two healings of leprosy recorded before Jesus healed the Leper.  The first time leprosy was healed in the Bible is in Exo.4:1-7.  The second time leprosy was healed is in Num. 12:1-6, 9-15.  Both times the Prophets prayed for the healing, Jesus didn’t have to pray for the healing (Matt.8:1-4).

In Luke 4:24-27 we see the misconception the Israelite’s had about sin causing leprosy (John 9:1-3), which they concluded from 2Kings 5:15-27, Numbers 12:1-6, 9-15, 2Chron. 26:16-21.  Jesus was up against these misconceptions, the traditions and teachings of men that they thought was the Gospel.  Those misconceptions aren’t just found in the Jewish religion,  it’s rampant in religion today also.

In Matt.8:4 the word “gift” is translated from the Greek word “dōron” which means an expression of thanksgiving, celebration and honor.  This is the last step of the ceremonial reinstatement of the Israelite’s (Lev.14:10-11).  The four steps are found in Lev.14, 1) vs.3 must meet the Priest outside of the camp, 2) vs.4-7 sacrificial offering, 3) vs.8-9  wash and shave all hair and wait seven days, 4) vs. 10-11 thanksgiving offering and then be declared clean.

2Ki 5:1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2Ki 5:2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife.
2Ki 5:3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
2Ki 5:4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
2Ki 5:5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
2Ki 5:6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
2Ki 5:7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
2Ki 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
2Ki 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
2Ki 5:12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.

2Ki 5:21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
2Ki 5:22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
2Ki 5:23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.
2Ki 5:24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.
2Ki 5:25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
2Ki 5:26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?
2Ki 5:27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

2Ch 26:16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
2Ch 26:17 And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:
2Ch 26:18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.

2Ch 26:21 And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.

Joh 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Mat 8:1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
Mat 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

Lev 14:6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
Lev 14:7 And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.
Lev 14:8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
Lev 14:9 But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
Lev 14:10 And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

Last week we learned about the Mosaic Purity Laws, 1) don’t touch a Leper  2) don’t touch a person with an issue of blood  3) don’t touch a dead person.  If a person was guilty of one of those three they were considered unclean themselves (Lev.13:1-3, 43-46,  Lev.5:2-3).  In the accounts of Jesus healing the Leper, Jesus appears to have broken the Purity Law by touching the Leper (Matt.8:1-4, Mark 1:40-44, Luke 5:12-16).

In the account of the woman with the blood issue (Mark 5:28-30) you will notice when the she touched Jesus there was a transfer from Jesus to the woman, but no transfer from the woman to Jesus.  The word ” virtue in vs.30 is translated from the Greek word “dunamis” which means power, strength, energy, vigor., the power of goodness, righteousness and purity.   Any time Jesus touches a person there’s a divinity that flows from Him to the person.  Examples: the blood flow dried up, Leper was cleansed, the dead girl came to life (Mark 1:40-44,  Mark 5:21-30, 35-36, 41-42).

The purpose of the Earthly ministry of Jesus was to reverse the “curse” “destroy the works of the Devil” (1John 3:8) works of God.  The power that flows out of Jesus overcomes, concurs, reverses and restores whoever, whatever He comes in contact with.  The power of His virtue, His goodness, His righteousness.  His purity repels any evil or defilement from entering into Him (Rev.21:1-4, 21-27, Col.2:9).

When Jesus touched and was touched by the “unclean” He did not break the Purity Laws because He can not be and was not defiled (Col.2:9).

Jesus went to the Cross as the spotless lamb.  While on the Cross Jesus willingly allowed our sins to be placed on His body because He loves us.

Next week we will be learning why Jesus told the Leper to do one thing and not the two things required by the Mosaic Law and tell the Priest.

2-9-2020 “JESUS AND THE LEPER!” part1 Matthew 8:1-4

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a Biblical study that’s goal is to look at the life of Jesus through a lens of those who were there. Today’s study gives some in-depth Biblical Jewish history that is critical to the understanding of what Jesus was teaching during His 3 year ministry her on earth. This is the sixth study of the series, the first three studies set the foundation of the series.

Last week we learned what the Jewish folks must have thought when Jesus was trying to transit them from the works of the law (There were 613 regulations Mosaic laws, 248 were commands, 365 of them were prohibitions, there were 1521 Rabbinical addendum’s during Jesus’ time) to solely relying on His finished work on the cross for their salvation.  The Jewish folks had naturally transitioned from the intent of the law into the works of the law for their salvation (Exo.24:3, Matt.6:25-28). So Jesus, in John 6:28-29, answers their question of “What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?” by telling them “This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” The word “believe” is translated from the Greek word “pisteuō” which means to believe about, to trust in to the point of committing to. Jesus is explaining to them that salvation is solely dependent on believing on His perfect sacrifice for their sins.

This weeks study centers around Jesus’ miracle of healing the Leper (Matt.8:1-4).  If you do a Google search for leprocy you will see how horrific this disease is.  A few things to consider while reading the account of Jesus healing the leper: 1) the leper approached Jesus and didn’t proclaim himself unclean, 2) Jesus touched the leper.  Remember that these were Jews under the Mosaic Laws, all 613 regulations Mosaic laws, 248 were commands, 365 of them were prohibitions, there were 1521 Rabbinical addendum’s.  According to the Law a leper was supposed to proclaim themselves unclean anytime they approached other people and they must live alone outside of the general population (Lev. 13:45).  Touching a leper is against the Law (Lev.5:2-3).  These are part of the Purity Laws, 1) never touch a leper, 2) never touch a dead person, 3) never touch a woman who has an issue of blood.

There are three accounts of the Leper being healed by Jesus (Matt.8:1-4, Mark 1:40-44, Luke 5:12-16).  Matthew, Mark and Luke were not with Jesus when He healed the Leper, so how did they know about the account?  Could it be that the Leper himself told them the account when they were celebrating the Passover with the Leper (Mark 14:3)?  If you look at the sentence structure in Matt.8:1-4 you will see that it is a first hand account of a conversation (the Leper said, Jesus said).

So, based on Lev.5:2-3, in Matt.8:1-4 did Jesus break the Levitical Law (tune in next week for the Biblical answer)?

2-2-2020 “IS HE THAT PROPHET?” part2 John 6:12-15

Last week we learned at the time that Jesus walked the earth the Jewish folks were looking for the prophet promised to them by God through Moses 1200 years prior (Matt. 11:2-3, John 6:12-15, Duet.18:15, 17-19). This prophet will be Moses like, 1) deliverer of the Jews from bondage, 2) law giver, 3) miracle worker. We must keep this (especially Duet.18:18) in mind while studying the words of Jesus in order to fully understand His meaning.

Jesus explained them that salvation was not dependent on by physically obeying the law, salvation is dependent on the condition of the heart (Matt.5:21-22, 27-28).

It’s easy for us today to understand what Jesus was saying because we have the advantage of further explanations like Rom.1:3-6 and many other Scriptures in our New Testament Bible.  But, just imagine what the Jewish folks were thing when Jesus told them their salvation was dependent on His flesh and blood (John 6:32-33, 35, 40, 47-51, 53-58)?  In John 6:33 the word “life” is translated from the Greek word “zōē” which means blessed spiritual life.  Just imagine what the Jewish folks were thinking about what Jesus was telling them.

Thankfully we have all of the Scriptures to reference, so it’s much easier for us to understand whet Jesus is telling are saved by faith in His perfect life and sacrifice and not by works of the law.

1-26-2020 “IS HE THAT PROPHET?” Matthew 11:2-3

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a Biblical study that’s goal is to look at the life of Jesus through a lens of those who were there.  Today’s study gives some in-depth Biblical Jewish history that is critical to the understanding of what Jesus was teaching during His 3 year ministry her on earth.    This is the fourth study of the series, the first three studies set the foundation of the series.

At the time that Jesus walked the earth the Jewish folks were looking for the prophet promised to them by God through Moses 1200 years prior (Matt. 11:2-3, John 6:12-15, Duet.18:15, 17-19).  This prophet will be Moses like, 1) deliverer of the Jews from bondage, 2) law giver, 3) miracle worker.  We must keep this (especially Duet.18:18) in mind while studying the words of Jesus in order to fully understand His meaning.

For 1200 years the Jewish folks took the Ten Commandments very seriously, so imagine what they were thinking when they heard Jesus gave them the Sermon on the Mount (Exo.20:1-3, 13-18, Exo.6:25, Matt.5:21-22, 27-28, Matt.7:28-29).  Jesus spoke in a way that expressed His authority to add, deepen and broaden the Law.  Every time Jesus said “I say unto you”, He is declaring Himself God and He clarifies in John 10:30, John 5:44-47.

Jesus did not come to bring a new law to the Jews, He came to deepen, expand and fulfill the Mosaic Law (Matt.5:17-19).  Now put yourself in the Jewish folks shoes when Jesus tells them they have to be perfect to get into heaven (Matt.5:48).  There were 613 regulations Mosaic laws,  248 were commands, 365 of them were prohibitions, there were 1521 Rabbinical addendum’s during Jesus’ time.  So, what do you think they thought when Jesus told them they had to be more righteous than the Scribes and Pharisees to enter into heaven (Matt.5:20)?

They must have thought it was impossible to enter into heaven when Jesus told them they must be as righteous as God to enter into heaven.   Jesus goes on to tell them that He has come to fulfill the law for them Matt.5:17, John 14:6.

Paul explains to the Corinthians that they are made righteous through the work of Jesus on the cross (2Cor.5:21).  In Rom.10:1-5 Paul explains, to the same Jewish people that Jesus spoke to, that nothing they can do (works) will get them into heaven, the only way there is through the work of Jesus and His righteousness.

1-19-2020 “JESUS THE GREAT DIVIDER!” Matthew 11:1-6

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a Biblical study that’s goal is to look at the life of Jesus through a lens of those who were there.

Since His birth, Jesus has been the Great Divider.  He has divided time between before His birth and after His birth.  He has divided folks between the saved and the lost, between the child of God and the child of wrath.  He has divided the truth from lies, the things of God and not of God.  He has divided those who are alive in Christ from those who are dead in sin.

We, just like the folks that lived during the time that Jesus walked this Earth, must ask ourselves who do we believe Jesus to be?  And, like folks of that time we must hear from Jesus who He is (Matt.11:1-6, Luke 24:17-21, Matt. 16:13-16, John 18:33, Matt.2:1-2, Matt.26:62-63).

Jesus came to Earth to be the great divider (Matt.10:34-36, Luke 12:49-53).

Jesus came to divide the folks who believe He is the Son of God from the folks who deny He is the Son of God (Luke 2:28-35).

Jesus came to divide the truth from the lies (John 18:36-37, John 8:39-47).

Jesus came to divide the Child of God from the Child of Disobedience/Wrath (Eph.2:1-5).  Two things can be said of every person, 1) God created everyone with a purpose and a plan for our lives.  2)  God loves everyone, even the lost folks who are not a Child of God.  Rom.8:14, 9, 14-15 explains that only folks who truly believe in Jesus and are indwelt with the Holy Spirit are a Child of God (John 1:10-13, Gal.3:26).

Jesus divides who we appear to be from who we really are (Matt.9:2-8, John 2:23-25, Luke 16:13-16, Matt.23:27-28).

Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

1-12-2020 “COME AND SEEK!” part2 John1:35-39

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a Biblical study that’s goal is to look at the life of Jesus through a lens of those who were there.  We want to study the circumstances of the culture and the religious system in which Jesus was ministering and moving, instead of looking at the life of Jesus through the prism of the year 2020 Holy Spirit led insight and the entire Bible.

In Last weeks study we learned in Matt.16:13-17 Jesus ask two questions, 1) who do men(people) say He is, 2) who do you say He is. Most of the time we are introduced to Jesus and the Bible by friends, family or a religion that we are brought up in. And our tendency is to believe what we are told, which is good if what we’re being told is the Biblical truth but not good if what we’re being told is in error. In Vs. 17 Jesus explains that our acknowledgement of who He is must come from God, not man, “flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”. It is God who initiates our seeking of who Jesus is, always (John 6:43-44). It is His Holy Spirit that will teach/reveal to us individually who Jesus is (John 16:7-9, 13-14).

In Matt.10:32 the word “confess” is translated from the Greek word “homologeō” the root of which is “homou” which means one in the same, a oneness of agreement in relationship.  The Greek word “logeō” means to confess or acknowledge the oneness to identify with or to stand with and for the person.  “homologeō” is a public acknowledgement of something that is completely believed upon to the point of full commitment and loyalty to.  Our hearts must agree with our mouths.

In order to “confess” that Jesus is the Son of God and our Saviour we must be in full agreement with everything Jesus said and taught.  When our confession is true to heart John 17:6-9, 11, 20-24 tells us that we enter into a personal relationship with God.

If we aren’t in full agreement of the teachings of Jesus we can not make a truthful confession saying so, therefore our confession is null and void in the eyes of our Lord Jesus Christ.  In Matt.10:33 the word “deny” is translated from the Greek word  “arneomai” which means to refuse or reject someone in the concept of a relationship, not to know someone, not to recognize someone.  Matt.26:72 gives the word “deny” and the definition ” I do not know the man”.

Without a completely agreed mouth and heart “confession” we can not enter into a personal relationship with Jesus and on judgement day Jesus will have to “deny” us (Matt.7:23).

1-5-2020 “COME AND SEEK!” Matthew 16:13-17

This week Bro. Leo starts us on a new study series that will guide us and lead us on an individual spiritual journey of discovery.  This series will provoke us to critically think about the teachings in the Bible and how our beliefs compare to those teachings.

In Matt.16:13-17 Jesus ask two questions, 1) who do men(people) say He is, 2) who do you say He is.  Most of the time we are introduced to Jesus and the Bible by friends, family or a religion that we are brought up in.  And our tendency is to believe what we are told, which is good if what we’re being told is the Biblical truth but not good if what we’re being told is in error.  In Vs. 17 Jesus explains that our acknowledgement of who He is must come from God, not man, “flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”.  It is God who initiates our seeking of who Jesus is, always (John 6:43-44).  It is His Holy Spirit that will teach/reveal to us individually  who Jesus is (John 16:7-9, 13-14).

Our acknowledgement of who Jesus is directly effects our salvation (Matt.16:16, Matt. 10:32-33, Rom.10:9-10, 13).  A personal/individual acknowledgment as a result of a personal divine revelation that results in a personal belief  and commitment that results in a personal outward public confession (Matt. 16:13-17).

We need to ask ourselves if what we believe revealed to us by God or is our beliefs what other people told us to believe (John 18:33-34).

The question we need to be asking ourselves is the question Jesus ask in John 1:38, what are we seeking?  To be seeking we have to recognize a need, an emptiness, something missing, we have to have a perceived need to find something.  If we’re being told by friends, family and religion that we’re fine even if we’re not, we will not seek Jesus.

Ecc. 1:12-14 explains that every one us is given a sense to seek the purpose of life.  Jer. 29:12-14 tells us that God will reveal Himself to us if we truthfully seek Him.

12-29-2019 “CHRISTMAS FAITH!” Luke 1:30-38

This week Bro. Leo continues us on a study of the birth of Jesus Christ with a study of four principles of faith found in the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ as well as two other miraculous births found in the Bible.

These four principles of faith are found in Luke 1:30-38:
1) Faith seeks an understanding of how something is going to be accomplished while recognizing it is beyond the limits of human ability.  Vs.34, Mary seeks to understand how she will give birth when she has never been with a man.

2) Faith moves us past the bonds of our own limitations and into the supernatural power and abilities of God.  Vs.35, the Angel tells Mary that she will be indwelt with the Holy Spirit and the power of God would create the baby Jesus.

3) Faith surrenders and submits to the will of God.  Vs.38, Mary submits to the will of God.

4) Faith is simply believing what God says to the point of complete trust, commitment and surrendering to God’s word, authority and power.  Vs.38 “And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.”

In Rom.4:13, 17-21 we find the same four principles of faith being exercised by Abraham in the miraculous birth of his son.  In vs.19 Abraham knew having a son was beyond he and Sara’s limitations.  In vs.20 Abraham realized having a son would be the supernatural power and abilities of God. In vs.21 Abraham surrenders and submits to God’s will by placing his complete trust in God’s word, power and authority.

In Mark 10:17-27 and John 3:3-6 we find the same four principles of faith required for our miraculous birth into salvation.  1) Vs.17 “what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”  Jesus explains that salvation can not be accomplished under our own abilities. 2) Vs.27 “With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”  Jesus explains salvation is accomplished by the power and authority of God.  In John 3:3-6 Jesus explains that we must be born again in the Spirit to be saved.  3+4) Once we understand and believe, to the point of complete trust, commitment and surrender to God’s word, authority and power, our salvation is not dependent on anything we do God will send His Holy Spirit to indwell us.

Christmas Faith is Saving Faith!
