In this weeks study Bro. Leo continues our study of the Biblical definition of living a Christian life, with part 2 of the series “ARE YOU LIVING THE LIFE?”.
In Rom.8:2 the word “law” is translated from the Greek word “nomos” which means 1) force or principal of established action 2) established set of commands/principles=law of sin
The word “life” is translated from the Greek word “zōē” which means inner spiritual life. In the context of vs.2 it means the divine life of Jesus Christ being lived out within us and through us.
In John 6:33 and John 10:10 Jesus tells us the reason He came to earth was to bring us life/zoe. Jesus came to bring us all that He is in His highest blessed state. When we get saved we have the Son in us (1John 5:10-12, John 1:4) and His life should be shining through us in His fullness to everyone we meet(John 1:16).
As a Christian we should be striving to allow the life of Jesus to flow in us and though us (Phil. 3:14-15).
Jesus didn’t come so we could join a Church, He came to give us His life (John 20:22).
