3-10-2019 “THE THINGS THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE WITH MAN!” Luke 18:27

This week Bro. Leo leads us on a study of faith by asking the question “Do you believe the miracles written about in the Bible?”

Every one of us who are saved believe that we could not save our-self and that only God has the power to save us (Luke 18-27).

In John 20:30 the word “signs” is translated from the Greek word “sēmeion” which means miracle with an ethical end and purpose,  valued in what they indicate of the power of the doer has done,  the doer has an immediate connection with the higher spiritual world and power.

The word “sēmeion” is used in the Bible to describe the ones who performed miracles so that we would know that they all were connected to God.  We, as the Church today, have that same connection with God via prayer.  God’s miraculous powers are available to us today, the question is do we have faith those powers and do we illustrate our faith in those powers in our prayers?

Scriptures used in today’s study:

Luk 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Luk 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Luk 18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Luk 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Luk 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
Luk 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
