This week Bro. Leo continues us in a study of God’s saving and sustainable grace by looking at what happened the day of Jesus’ crucifixion.
Last week we learned that the God’s gift of our salvation cost God His Son and cost Jesus His life. This week Bro. Leo spends most of our time going into a deeper study of the cost of the gift of our salvation before looking into what was happening during the sacrifice of Jesus.
Isa.53 and 52:14 teaches us what Jesus went through the day of His crucifixion. Keeping in mind Jesus’ commitment to us, how can we possibly not ask ourselves “What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?” (Psa.116:12).
Scriptures used in today’s study:
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
