In today’s message Bro. Leo teaches both the significance of the resurrection of Jesus and the power of the resurrection of Jesus.
Jesus’ resurrection is a declaration from God that the blood of Jesus was sufficient for the redemption of my and your sin (Rom. 4:24-25) . The word “justification” in verse 25 is translated from the Greek word dikaiōsis, which means acquittal (for Christ’s sake) and comes from the Greek word dikaioō which means to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent. Jesus the Son of God, our High Priest, offered up His own physical body as sacrifice for my and your sin and God the Father honored/accepted the sacrifice and acknowledged the sacrifice with the resurrection of Jesus’ physical body as proof to us that the sacrifice was sufficient offering for our sins, if we truly believe in Jesus and what He did for us.
The power of the resurrection is available to every born again Christian through the gift of His Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:19-22). The Christians life should be characterized by the power of the resurrection like the early Church was(Luke 24:49). Instead, most modern American Christians perfectly resemble, 2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof… The resurrection power dwells in each and every born again Christian(Acts 1:8) and all we have to do is pray for it, Jesus is praying for us also(Rom. 8:34) and rely on the power of His resurrection. Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
