In today’s message Bro. Leo explains the significance of God’s power of forgiveness, eternal salvation and the importance of allowing His Holy Spirit to work through us in order to forgive ourselves and those who have transgressed against us.
It is important to realize that both lost and saved folks sin daily (1John 1:8), because anything we do that is not of the Spirit is sin(Rom. 8:7-8). The difference being the saved folks sin is covered by the blood of Jesus (Heb. 9:12, Gal. 4:4-7).
In order to confess our sin to God we must acknowledge that God is right and we are wrong. In 1John 1:9 the word confess is translated from the Greek word homologeō and it means 1) thoughtfully spoken word 2) accent to, agree with and acknowledge.
Therefore to confess our sin we must agree that God is right and we must confess a specific sin (thoughtfully spoken).
