5-1-2016 “OUR GOD IS ON THE THRONE AND OUR SALVATION IS SECURE!” Heb. 7: 24-25

You are more than welcome to reply in the comments section of this web page with any questions about eternal security that you may have and Bro. Leo will answer them for you.

In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study on the ascension of Jesus Christ by looking at the power that keeps us saved.  He begins by reiterating that Jesus was resurrected, that He ascended to heaven and that He now sits on the right hand of God (which represents the power of God) (Acts 1:9-11, Mark 16:19, Heb. 8:1, Matt. 26:64).  This power is exceedingly great towards those who believe, Eph.  1:19-23.   In order to receive this power, we must first have knowledge of it so that we will desire and seek it, (Eph. 1:17-18).  “You can not know something that you haven’t learned and you can not experience something that you don’t know”.

A saved person has a part in them that is not from this world, the Holy Spirit and He is from heaven (John 16:5,7  John 8:21-23,  Gal. 4:6).  The first thing the Holy Spirit does when He enters your heart is seal you which is the guarantee that the promise of salvation will be kept that Jesus promises us(2Cor. 1:21-22, John 14:1-3).   Our salvation is kept by the power of God (1Pet. 1:3-5) and nobody or nothing can over power God to take it away (Eph. 1:21-22).

It is very important that we understand the power of God that is being offered to us so that we will seek it and experience those powers, authority and victory daily in our lives(Col. 3:1).  Christians should be on the offense instead of the defense in this world.
