“AMERICA’S DAY OF SPIRITUAL INFAMY” SUPREME COURT RULING ON MARRIAGE

In this message Bro. Leo explains what God’s word tells us the result of the Supreme Court’s ruling on Sodomy marriage will be for our nation.

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

2Pe 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

6-14-2015 “DEFINITE, SPECIFIC FAITH!” Mark 4:40

In today’s message Bro. Leo continues our study of faith by explaining two aspects of faith, 1) Belief in God’s ability or power to calm the storm we find ourselves in  2) Trusting that God desires to be involved in the storm we find ourselves in.
We must believe that He is God and that He rewards those who seek Him.  While we are in the storm (specific situation) we need to be specific in what we ask God to do for us and then we need to be confident in Him and expect that He will take care of our specific need.

Scriptures used in today’s message:

Mar 4:35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
Mar 4:36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
Mar 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Mar 4:38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mar 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mar 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Mar 4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Luk 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
Luk 18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
Luk 18:37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
Luk 18:38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Luk 18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Luk 18:40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
Luk 18:41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
Luk 18:42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
Luk 18:43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

6-7-2015 “FAITH : THE ANSWER TO OUR STORM” Mark 4:35-41

In today’s message Bro. Leo asks the question “on a scale of 1-10 what level is your faith?”.   The statement “Christ allows storms to come into my life so He can see how much faith I have” is a false statement.  Jesus already knows how much faith we have before He allows the storm.  His purpose for the storm is to reveal to us our weaknesses and to strengthen our faith.  Not all storms that we encounter are sent to us from God, some we bring upon ourselves by not following His commandments.  Either way we are to handle them in the same manner by allowing them to show us our weaknesses and strengthen our faith that Jesus can and will calm them.  Storms bring desperation and distress to our lives which in turn teach us new ways to grab hold of God’s power.

During the many storms in our lives as Christians we shouldn’t throw a pity party, we should grab hold of Jesus with the mindset that He will calm the storm and strengthen our faith through it.

Luk 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

TRIBUTE MESSAGE to LEAMON (NUB) EDWARDS

5-24-2015 “OUR MAKER, LAW-GIVER, JUDGE and KING!” Isa 33:22

As we as a Nation take time this weekend to remember all of our fallen soldiers, whom gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom’s and liberty’s, let us also remember that our Creator God  gave us both those freedom’s and the soldiers who protect them.
In today’s message Bro. Leo shows us from the Scriptures exactly what happens to nations/cultures who reject God and take pride in their sins.  The Bible gives us a history of God judging cultures for pride in sin, haughtiness and arrogance.   As Christians, we had better heed these warnings and take a real stand for God and His truth’s before we end up the next Nation in history that received God’s judgement.

5-17-2015 “THE LORD IS MY MAKER : GOD’S FIRST TRUTH!” Gen. 1:1a

In today’s message Bro. Leo explains how and why Satan is using the Sodomite’s,  Abortionist’s,  Evolutionist”s and Socialist’s to attack God and His truth’s.

It is and has always been Satan’s goal to change God’s truth into lies (Gen. 3:4-5).  Now Satan is using the Evolutionist’s to try to change God’s truth of creation into a lie (Gen. 1:1, John 1:1-3).   Believing the lie of evolution allows folks to disregard God as their creator and therefore their moral authority, which is where the Sodomites enter into the equation.  Without God’s moral authority the Sodomites are free to invent their own truth (Sodomite marriage) and worship themselves instead of our Creator God (Rom. 1:25-28).  Here is a recent example of folks creating their own truth, from an article in The Tennessean newspaper http://www.tennessean.com/story/life/family/2015/05/07/sparkle-josh-husband-reaffirm-vows-music-city/26934677/ .
“For us, standing up there, that was our truth and that is truth,” Johnson said. “Everyone who was there, everyone who sees a picture, they will get to see a snapshot of the real thing, the truth that we are, and it didn’t matter where it happened. It was going to happen, and we were going to be who God created us to be, together. And that is what we really wanted to reflect. We are just like everyone else, and the people who showed up for the event are the people who have been on the journey with us. It was a celebration of the truth.”

Live and let live is another of Satan’s lies that the Sodomites use.  They continue to tell us that if two consenting adults are not hurting anyone then whatever they are doing is ok, but in reality this is not their goal.  Their goal is to force everyone to believe what they are doing is ok and for everyone to accept their actions.  From the same Tennessean article above, we read their goal.
“It feels different in our interaction with other people,” Popham said. “For instance, when we went into a store yesterday, the salesperson asked if she could help me and I said I was waiting for my husband. Prior to getting married, I wouldn’t be able to say that, so it validates it and gives it some credibility. And that was really the only thing lacking for us, that validation.”

Disregarding God as our creator also enables the Abortionist’s to murder babies.  These folks worship themselves and have no regard for God’s creation or His moral authority.  They spew the lie that an embryo is not life and this is “their self made truth”.  Our Creator God’s truth (absolute truth) can be found in Psa 139:13-16,  Jer 1:5.

Here is an example of the Socialist’s changing our Creator God’s truth into a lie, “The German Federal Constitutional Court earlier ruled that being able to legally identify as one’s “deeply felt and lived” gender is a personal right.”  http://www.autostraddle.com/binary-or-blank-germany-allows-parents-to-refrain-from-gender-assignment-at-birth-191097/
The absolute truth can be found in God’s Word, Mat 19:4 and this is why no matter what I call myself my DNA will always be what God created me as.

Being our Creator God affords God the right and authority to instruct us morally and judge us.  Because He is our creator, God instructs us for our own good out of love for us.  Just as a parent instructs their child, because the parent knows and wants what is best for the child, God instructs us (His children) to preserve us in the best life we can possibly have.  Satan, on the other hand, wants to destroy us to a life of condemnation.

5-10-2015 “GOD MY MAKER” John 1:1-3

In today’s message Bro. Leo does a great job of explaining, through the scriptures,  the American culture’s attack on God and His absolute truth’s and why.   Satan, the father of all lies, is waging these attacks on God with these three methods; 1) Evolution theory – denies God’s revelation of Himself through creation.  2) Abortion – man worships himself instead of God ( a woman should be able to decide what to do to her own body, even if it means murdering an unborn child).  3)  Sodomite marriage – changes God’s truth of marriage being between a man and a woman, which is to say God you are wrong and man has a much better definition of marriage.
The American culture is no longer fears the judgement of God and therefore is buying the lie of Satan when he says surely you will not die if you _?  The Christians in America that are not taking a firm stand for God’s absolute truth’s must not fear God or they simply do not have God’s truth in them and therefore are just proclaiming to be Christians.  God is our maker and we are held accountable to Him.

Scriptures used in today’s message:

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

5-3-2015 “WHAT IS TRUTH?” part 2, John 18:38

In today’s message Bro. Leo explains the absolute truth, which is the Word of God, and the actual reason why our culture today is promoting sodomite marriage and infant murder.  The absolute truth is that our Creator God did just that, He created us and everything else that is created.  The absolute truth is that Jesus is God in the flesh.  The absolute truth is that there is no other way to God except through Jesus.  The absolute truth is that God created marriage as a union between a man and a woman.  The absolute truth is that life begins at conception.  Knowing these absolute truth’s we can see that today’s culture is in direct rebellion against God when they demand that the law of the land legitimize by legalizing sins such as abortion, sodomite marriage and the theory of evolution.

Unfortunately much of the American Church is guilty of turning a blind eye to these issues and even some are promoting them.   The absolute truth is that there will be a day that each member of the Church will stand before Jesus and be held accountable for their actions as well as their inaction’s.  I myself would much rather take a firm stand for God’s absolute truth against the world today than to stand and make an account of my not taking a stand in front of Jesus who hung on the cross because of my sins (Rom 14:12).

4-19-2015 “GOD’S POWER of FORGIVENESS” Luke 23:33-34

In today’s message Bro. Leo explains the significance of God’s power of forgiveness, eternal salvation and the importance of allowing His Holy Spirit to work through us in order to forgive ourselves and  those who have transgressed against us.
It is important to realize that both lost and saved folks sin daily (1John 1:8), because anything we do that is not of the Spirit is sin(Rom. 8:7-8).  The difference being the saved folks sin is covered by the blood of Jesus (Heb. 9:12, Gal. 4:4-7).
In order to confess our sin to God we must acknowledge that God is right and we are wrong.  In 1John 1:9 the word confess is translated from the Greek word homologeō  and it means 1) thoughtfully spoken word  2) accent to, agree with and acknowledge.
Therefore to confess our sin we must agree that God is right and we must confess a specific sin (thoughtfully spoken).

Scriptures used in today’s message:
Luk 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Mat 5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Mat 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross

Psa 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psa 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment

Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
Psa 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

2Co 7:8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mar 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mar 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Mat 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Mat 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

4-12-2015 “TO KNOW THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION!” Phil.3:10

In today’s message Bro. Leo teaches both the significance of the resurrection of Jesus and the power of the resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus’ resurrection is a declaration from God that the blood of Jesus was sufficient for the redemption of my and your sin (Rom. 4:24-25) .   The word “justification” in verse 25 is translated from the Greek word dikaiōsis, which means acquittal (for Christ’s sake) and comes from the Greek word dikaioō which means to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent.  Jesus the Son of God, our High Priest, offered up His own physical body as sacrifice for my and your sin and God the Father honored/accepted the sacrifice and acknowledged the sacrifice with the resurrection of Jesus’ physical body as proof to us that the sacrifice was sufficient offering for our sins,  if we truly believe in Jesus and what He did for us.

The power of the resurrection is available to every born again Christian through the gift of His Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:19-22).  The Christians life should be characterized by the power of the resurrection like the early Church was(Luke 24:49). Instead, most modern American Christians perfectly resemble, 2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…  The resurrection power dwells in each and every born again Christian(Acts 1:8) and all we have to do is pray for it, Jesus is praying for us also(Rom. 8:34) and rely on the power of His resurrection.    Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Scriptures used in today’s message:

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Heb 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
Heb 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1Co 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Eph 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Rom 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
